Asics x Studio Hagel NEOTIDE
The NEOTIDE was inspired by the question: "How can ASICS create something new from what would otherwise be thrown away?" With a clear circular design vision in mind, we collaborated with Studio Hagel and Fastfeet Grinded to develop an innovative lifestyle sneaker. For this shoe, ASICS leftover stock and defective shoes were shredded and reused.
100% of the knit upper and approximately 75% of the laces are made from recycled materials. These details draw visual influences from the GEL-NYC and other classic running shoe styles from the mid-2000s. In the midsole, the EVA foam, made from approximately 25% shredded material, forms a futuristic shape. The outsole is made from at least 25% recycled rubber. The GEL technology integrated into this sneaker is also made entirely from processing waste from our in-house GEL technology. This product has an environmental footprint of 9.6 kg CO₂e per pair.
