This shoe celebrates four very special turtles who fearlessly stand up for justice and can't get enough of pizza. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo are back and better than ever. To celebrate their 40th anniversary, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are inspiring a new generation of fans with 1980s nostalgia that took comics, video games and films by storm. The design details inspired by the superheroes are instantly recognisable, even if you don't (yet) know the secret of the Ooze. This adidas sneaker celebrates their success story and comes with the legendary rubber toe cap, which in this new edition is reminiscent of a turtle shell. The textured leather upper is also modelled on turtle skin. The brand's legendary slogan was originally written in French and can be read here in Italian as a tribute to the artists of the Renaissance, the namesakes of the famous tortoises. The adidas logo on the detail in the heel area is designed in the style of the original logo by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the creators of the TMNT. Above the 3-Stripes, the "Superstar" lettering is replaced by "SHELLTOE" and "NINJA POWER" is emblazoned on the tongue. With the three pairs of laces and a special lace badge for each Ninja Turtle, you can customise the look of the sneaker. And really nice: A manhole cover is printed under the insole as an allusion to the Turtles' secret hiding place. But that's not all! Each pair comes with a unique reprint of the very first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic by Eastman and Laird.
